Wednesday Snap Shot
Wednesday
Snap Shot will have a little different look for awhile. When I'm
back up and running again, I'll return to the previous format.

Since
it's been a few weeks since I posted a WSS I wanted to share the
biggest change for me and Tobin with you. Our youngest son has moved
out and we are now officially “empty nesters”. It's been a
strange transition, but we are enjoying it in many ways. He had
planned to move out right after my surgery but when things turned out
the way they did, he put it off until the end of January. He wanted
to make sure if his help was needed he was around. By the end of the
month I told him we were handling life and he needed to do what he
felt was best for him. He'll be 20 in another week and I felt he
needed to move forward with his own plans. So far he's doing great
and I know it was a good choice.
Also
during my recovery time my daughter Hannah and her family moved to a
new house. I was finally able to see it yesterday. Hubby and I went
to do some grocery shopping and run errands and went for a visit to
take a peek. I'm so happy for her! The house they were in was
simply to small for her growing family. They now have lots of room
and are in a quiet new neighborhood and loving it.
Yesterday
was a beautiful sunny day! Today the sun is trying to break through
the thin clouds and I think we'll have some sunshine again before
moving back to more rain...
I'm
excited for spring to be here and to be moving out of winter.
Tonight
we are having pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. It will be a simple
and easy meal for me. I have the pulled pork in the freezer. I am
forever grateful to my daughter Emily. In the middle of February she
came and spent a week with me and cooked up several meals for the
freezer. She wanted to make sure Dad had meals to eat and I had a
couple things ready to go when I started feeling better. The pulled
pork is one of those meals.
Emily
came and left her hubby and son at home. She had to work a few of
the days she was here (she works from home often). I appreciated her
hubby and son making the sacrifice of her absence as well! I did
miss seeing my little grandson as he has gotten so big now (and so cute)!
And
in about 3 ½ to 4 months he will be getting a baby brother. We are
so excited to have another little grandson. 💗 I'm also waiting on the
news of my oldest daughter, Carolyn. She is due in the next week or
two with her baby. She is having a girl and we are thrilled with a
granddaughter soon to be born. It's been about 6 years since we've
had a granddaughter. 💕
Well
that is all for this week's Wednesday Snap Shot! I hope you all are
having a great week.
What a growing family you have! We too are learning to enjoy our empty nest a little at a time. :) Glad you are feeling better!
