Wednesday Snap Shot

Good morning! This week has been a quiet week giving me time to get extra things done around the house.

I'm now 2 weeks post-op and my eye is healing beautifully. I can't tell you how great it's been to see properly again. The double vision also caused depth perception issues and made it hard for me to judge curb height, speed bumps in parking lots and variations in the ground when I walk. It's amazing to see all of that once again. I'm still in awe!And still thanking God!

Goals
I have a lot planned for today. I'm meeting up with a girlfriend to walk this morning, then have plans to spend some time cleaning a vacant rental we have and then it will be home to work on dinner. I'm pretty sure that will be all I can do for the day! :)

For the Love of Books!
I finished the book, The Midwife's Revolt  (affiliate link)and really enjoyed it. It was a freebie download from Amazon (for Prime members) and I was able to also get the audio version as well for free. I may purchase the next book in the series. For now I'm reading The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells and enjoying that.

I'm about halfway through the book of Hebrews in my Bible reading.

Projects
I finished all my wool dryer balls and tried a couple of them out in my last load of laundry and liked the results! I'm planning on buying more wool yarn and making more for Christmas gifts. I'll be doing a separate blog post on this soon.

Fitness and Health
I've been able to get out and walk and am loving it. Time has come for me to move forward again in my fitness. I took such a huge step backwards with my surgery in January and it's taken a lot of time for me to recover my energy levels and strength. I could be discouraged but instead I'm looking forward and so thankful to be at a point to work on this once again.

Yesterday I walked over 3 miles and enjoyed some of the beautiful sights around me. The pics below are from a nearby lake..

And today I plan to get out and walk again.

View from my Deck
It's a gorgeous morning! The air is crisp and fall like and the sun is out. With the rain we've had it's so nice to see things are starting to green up.

Today's weather:   High: 69   Low: 52

That is all for this week! Hope you are having a fantastic week!

  1. So happy your eye is doing well especially after your troubles in the previous surgery. I need to get back to walking but I swim most days. That will soon be coming to an end though. Have a great week!

  2. Glad you're doing better and are able to get out and get some exercise. Setbacks are hard, but it always helps so much to focus on the positive. Beautiful pictures, you're lucky to have such a lovely area to walk around!

    1. Focus on the positive.. that has been my motto too Stephanie. In all things that happen in life it's always better to focus on the good, not the negative. Crystal 😊
