Happy March!!

Spring is just around the corner now! However we have snow in the forecast for this weekend. But yesterday was 50 and sunny. The season of new beginnings is not far away here in the Pacific Northwest. The days are getting longer, the birds are out, ducks are visiting our pond frequently, any day now I expect to hear the frogs croaking… all signs that spring is coming my way.

In a few days I’ll be sharing this month’s Homemaking Challenge. I’m ready to tackle a new project and take care of another overlooked area of my home. I hope you’ll be joining me!!

March is also the month I order seeds and start preparing for my garden. I’ll be sharing about starting seeds indoors this month. My garden plans will be a little different from years past and I’ll share my plans with you on that as well.

Plus I have recipes to share, more Meal Planning Simplicity ideas to share and a few ideas on preparing for spring cleaning.

So grab a cup of coffee and come visit me this month!!

  1. Yes Spring 'is' around the corner even here in northern NY where it was -3 yesterday. The sun has been shining the last few days and that is worth smiling about.
We have our home for sale and are going to an off grid home. I know almost nothing about homesteading. I have a lot to learn.
    Happy Spring,
How do I get notification of comments? :)

    1. Hi Susie... sounds like quite an adventure!! I wish you the best! -3!! brrr!! We don't get temps like that here.. :) Have no idea how people do that one! :D

For the notifications.. across from the blue "Publish" button you check the box that says.. "Notify me"

  2. -3 here in northern NY this winter is one of the warmer days. We had many -20 and winds like crazy. I don't know how we do it either. My husband has had to work OUTSIDE in this all winter.
Glad you don't get this cold,

  3. Cold here as well. -8 tonight. Sap is not even running in the trees... Looking forward to ordering our seeds too. Just got our catalog in the mail! I've been trying to look, but my little ones have been perusing through it, with all their garden dreams! LOL Looking forward to the recipes you're going to share! My girls have told me that we must grow zucchini so we can make zucchini brownies; they (and mama and papa, too!) are big fans of your frosted zucchini brownie recipe ;) Blessings! Jamie
