It’s a GIRL!!
Yesterday my daughter Hannah had a baby girl!! She did such a great job! Had the baby without drugs or epidural.. and to see how uncommon this is the student nurse who was there said this was the first birth she had witnessed where the mother did not have an epidural! She was in awe to see how it all worked naturally!! :) And I was in awe to see how my daughter handled it all and to once again see the miracle of birth! What a blessing!
My new granddaughter’s name is Rylee Skye and she weighed 7lbs 14.5oz! And she is just beautiful :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wonderful blessing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all! What a beautiful baby girl. Love her name too! Makes me think of a beautiful, sunshiney day:)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. It is sad that the norm is so uncommon these days. Good for her! I've been thinking about this quote lately: "We have a secret in our culture, and it's not that birth is painful. It's that women are strong."

Go Hannah!
Congratulations!! She is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS, Rylee is a little sweetheart...
ReplyDeleteI am glad that everything went well with the birth. It is a fantastic experience to see a child born. I saw my grandson born 7 years ago and for me it was extra special because I had not given birth to my four naturally.

Congratulations, Crystal! What an awesome Mother's Day gift for you and Hannah both! Rylee is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby, what a great Mother's day gift. When I had my 5th child, the nurse was just frantic when I told her I wasn't having an epidural. She went running to the doctor, who said, "This is her 5th child; she knows what she is doing." I was amazed that epidurals had become so routine. This was 20 years ago, and I guess it has just gotten worse. Congratulations to you and your daughter.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! How cute! Congrats to all on the new little addition to your family and blessings to little Rylee!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for your daughter to have the little one right before Mother's Day!!

Congratulations! What a beautiful little one!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! This is wonderful news. I think Rylee looks like you (in the photo of her w/her eyes open) This will be a special mother's day for sure! Congratulations to Hannah for going natural. It's true, it all works perfectly. I have had 3 unmedicated natural births in a hospital setting too, and the nurses don't have much experience with this - pretty amazing. But the more they see and see how well it works and how much better the mother feels afterwards and how alert the baby is, the process will be encouraged more!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! I love the name!!

ReplyDeleteI love hearing when other women do it naturally. I did as well (actually, the idea of a needle in my spine scared me more than actually having the baby!).
Warmly,
katy :)
