Apple Crisp

This is tonight's Dessert..  YUM..   (the apple cake from last night is gone already)


 


 


Apple Crisp


Crystal Miller


 


5 large apples, peeled, cored, sliced


2/3 c Sucanat


2/3 c cane juice crystals


1 c whole wheat pastry flour


1 ½ c oats


1 c butter, melted


2/3 c water


 


Butter the bottom of a 9x13 pan.  Lay apples slices in the pan.  In a medium size bowl combine the rest of the ingredients except the water.  Spread this over the apples. Pour the water over the top.  Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the top is browned. 


 


Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

  1. OH my goodness!!! That looks so good I have not apple crisp in so long. I think I'll make that when I make my chicken lasanga.

  2. I'll have to try this crisp as well. I have several from others and we're looking for "The One". My husband is the taste tester ; o ) I'll let you know how it goes. Mmmm, crisp...


    Oh, and you know, you could probably sell some walnuts to some of your friends on here. I was thinking I would love some fresh walnuts from someone I know. Sometimes store bought places are so...well, I think the nuts are from last year. That's how bad I feel sometimes about them!
