I wish we had Aldi's here. I've heard of their good deals!
Crystal 😊Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00621490444516696992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5055330933900013377.post-81634181445871061832019-01-05T04:43:25.233-08:002019-01-05T04:43:25.233-08:00I always enjoy reading your posts and I really lov...I always enjoy reading your posts and I really love your recipes they are tried and true! I, too, am working out my grocery budget and trying to be more realistic. I budget about $200.00 a week for food and pet supplies, household things like toothpaste, etc. Costco really helps especially if I go weekly. However, I shop at Aldi 2x a month and have been so impressed with their deals! Especially the smaller portions of fresh fruits and veggies and pantry staples. For example, a bunch of celery was about $1.25 and a cake mix about .85. We don't have Wincos here but I find Aldi is worth the drive for us! I have a family of 5 and I pack my kids school lunches everyday and on game days (they play alot of sports so it helps to have things made on hand when they come home) I'm hoping to bring my bill down by about 15$ a week. - KatieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5055330933900013377.post-69930743949599569452019-01-04T08:53:32.434-08:002019-01-04T08:53:32.434-08:00It sure is Alice! I ...The struggle is ongoing isn't it, Crystal. I too have to find a way to cook for a smaller family. Going from 5 hearty appetites down to 2 1/2 (son only lives with us half the week) and our appetites are less than hearty. We did have all the kids in and out for the month of Dec. so I did a lot more large family meals and we plowed through a lot of freezer food. Now the goal is to NOT replenish but continue lowering the levels of the freezer.

Good luck to you with that and I'm joining you on being healthy and lowering my weekly grocery budget.

AliceAlicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660543650879805736noreply@blogger.com
