It's pretty tough on a regular blender, but a Vita Mix or other higher powered one can do it for smoothies. We also mix fresh strawberries with our pineapples and bananas in smoothies!talindamoodnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5055330933900013377.post-89478894260676588432008-07-13T10:47:06.000-07:002008-07-13T10:47:06.000-07:00I like your blog and all of the step by step pics ...I like your blog and all of the step by step pics of recipes. When I was in YWAM in Hawaii for 4 months once, I was given the job of cutting up the pineapples for breakfast every day - and that is exactly the way they taught me then, and I still use that method. Great video!

Rachel from NZCitygalnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5055330933900013377.post-37266122379921029762008-07-13T12:46:30.000-07:002008-07-13T12:46:30.000-07:00Crystal, We love pineapple here! The day before you cut up your pineapple, slice the crown off and set it on a saucer, cut side down. Doing so will allow the sugars to redistribute throughout the fruit that have settled to the bottom, giving a more consistent sweetness throughout the whole pineapple. I tried it and it really does seem to work.Julienoreply@blogger.com
